We are a new lab in the Department of Nuclear and Quantum Engineering focusing on advanced radiation imaging and microscopy techniques, physics-based computational imaging techniques, and high-energy radiation detectors and shielding. We build imaging tools, pairing instrument design with physics model, to reveal structure, chemistry, and dynamics at multiple scales. Our interests span medical, semiconcudtor, energy, and nuclear applications. Grounded in rigor and openness, strengthened by domestic/international collaboration, we cultivate QuRIoSity (curiosity) to translate ideas from benchtop to large‑scale facilities and real‑world applications.
We are seeking motivated and QuRIouS (curious) undergraduate/graduate(M.S./Ph.D.) student researchers and postdoctoral scholars. Please send an email along with your CV and academic transcript to Prof. Jisoo Kim (jisoo.kim (at) kaist.ac.kr).
Join the journey to the microscopic universe!
